As a chipper it is excellent, handling anything more or less that will fit down the chipper tube. But not so good as a shredder of bushy and leafy stuff. The input hopper is severely tapered, so unless you only put in a handful or so at a time it jams in the throat, and you have to spend much time with a long branch forcing it through. Also it can jam on the output, as it shreds very finely, and can clog the holes in the guard inside the output chute. This can happen if you don't keep clearing the shreddings away from the bottom of the output chute. Again a stick is needed to clear the holes. The engine has to be kept running during these clearing operations, as the shredding chamber must be clear before re-starting, otherwise you can damage the drive belt - and a replacement costs £30 including delivery. If the chamber isn't clear before re-starting, you have to remove the output guard and clear out the chamber by hand - difficult as it is so low to the ground.
