We went into our local dobbies in Shrewsbury to get some fish for my 7 yr old. We walked all round the store first which was lovely and clean lots of staff should you need anything. Even Christmas things were on display (Aug?) Then as we got to to the aquatic bit I was astonished it was dark dingy and smelt like a pond, The floor was chipped and filthy and what fish you could see through the dirty tanks and snails were dead and dying fish. The glass was covered in algae and water marks and looked like they hadn't been cleaned out in weeks. I sent a email to their head office but no reply so days later I went back to see if anything had changed and nope still the same so I took pictures and intend on emailing them the pictures!! I know it might seem petty to you that I'm overreacting on fish but I think no animal should be treated like that and at the prices they charge £99 for a tank which I got for £35 cheaper in another garden centre. They can afford to look after the fish
