“My trip to Ghana”

My two weeks volunteering in Ghana were fantastic. I felt very prepared going out there as you're provided with a detailed list of what to bring. Anything you don't have Projects Abroad help you find out there. You have a group supervisor to help you with anything as well. Staying with your group in the Same host helps you bond with your group. Working with the children is very rewarding as you get to see their faces light up when you've finished painting their school or making paper chains. I would however have liked to have done more educational activities with the children so it felt like you were giving back even more. I enjoyed exploring the country such as going to Cape Coast at the weekend and the various markets during the week. All in all, I would certainly recommend it!
