“Great summer spent volunteering in Moldova! ”

I spent one month in Moldova volunteering, and this was a perfect introduction to travelling abroad alone! I felt safe being picked up from the airport and greeted by my host family. The staff at projects abroad and my host family were always available to help with anything I needed.

The placement I was given was lovely. I was only working mornings which was a bit short for me, but as soon as I mentioned this to the staff they helped me to find additional work.

I really enjoyed the group outings that were organised as well and got to make lots of friends.

Although this was very expensive and I probably wouldn't want to pay so much again, it was definitely worth it for my first time volunteering abroad!
