Thank you so much for a fantastic experience, I could not have asked for a better first experience of volunteering and I'm very grateful for this. I met some amazing people and the weekend trips we're brilliant also. I particularly enjoyed the Elephant Trekking.

Aside from this, the volunteering at VOD, although a slow start, which was expected, turned out to be very enjoyable and I felt that I had made a good contribution to the organisation. I enjoyed helping to edit reports and eventually completed an article on how the organisation had contributed to the elections that occured whilst I was in the country. This involved interviewing many people and contacting organisations internationally which I really enjoyed.

The team in Cambodia should also be commended as they were fantastic if I ever had an issue and dealt with it effectively and quickly. The guesthouse was also a fantastic place to stay, the staff were so friendly and it really did become our home whilst we were there and nothing was too much for them.

The programme is very well set together and I don't think there was anything that could have been improved in my experience.

I hope next year to do a programme through PMGY in Africa which I will start looking into soon, as a friend will be doing this with me.
