The volunteering was a great experience, thanks for helping sort it all out. I was impressed with the orphanage, the owner is a genuinely nice and generous guy and it all seems pretty well run. The kids were all dressed in school uniform and the hall was set out as a classroom ready for us every day. It’s hard to see how much progress the kids made as we were there for such a short time but you could see some of the quieter ones coming out of their shells and getting more confident towards the end which was cool.
Battambang was a really nice place. So laid back and all the locals were always in a great mood. Really nice place though. I’ve got a lot of time for Siem Reap as well, much more chilled than I thought it would be. And yeh, Angkor Wat was awesome.
