Independent yet awesome!

I volunteered in Tanzania for three weeks with this company.
They are definitely #1 for money. I managed to fund the entire trip for just £1000 altogether. This included flights, company fee, injections, and visa. No other company is this cheap!

It is a very independent placement, you have to work to your own initiative, get to know other volunteers and follow them to their placements as the co-ordinators are busy getting new volunteers settled in and getting their visas. If you want an organisation that takes you by the hand from the airport and to all your placements, this isn't for you. You are expected to take a 9 hour bus journey by yourself to the placement. However, this really added to the excitement and made you feel like a real traveller. Once you complete this placement, you can complete anything!

The only negative I have about the entire trip was that I found the group of volunteers to be very btchy. It was almost like high school and one volunteer was being bullied and left out of other placements. There was very little original volunteers could do about this, but a more involved organisation would be cracked down on this sort of behaviour.

The co-orindators are very helpful with the time and resources that they have, and as long as you're up for a challenge, this is for you :)
