I participated in this program last summer, and had a really nice time. We were lucky and got to direct a few late-hatchlings to the sea, and also relocated a nest. Most of the turtle activity happens in the middle of the night, so we didn't get as much action around the turtles as I thought we would, but it was still amazing to see them even just the couple times! There is also a lot of community outreach involved with this program which makes it a very well-rounded approach to sustainable development. Teaching the local communities about our work is always really important, even if they are slow to change all that matters is that we get them thinking.
