“Complete and utter rubbish - Avoid!!”

★☆☆☆☆

written by BrianLn on 17/03/2016

We bought a 2 and 3 seater from the Warrington Branch in October 2014 along with extended 5yr warranty. Failed in October 2015 and we were informed that as it had not lasted 12 months it was still under manufacturers warranty and was the responsibility of the store. The store accepted this and told us they had ordered the parts. That was November 2015. We have since had all the excuses under the sun including the Chinese New Year for none delivery and none repair. We have spent Xmas/ New Year with a faulty suite (as at today - 17 March 2016 we still have a faulty suite!!!). The Store have lied about the parts arriving, refused to refund the cost of the suite or replace. Honestly, they may be fine if all goes well, but if anthing goes wrong!!!! YOU ARE IN DEEP TROUBLE. Personally I would NEVER EVER take the chance again. Pay a bit more and stick with a recognised company.

“Buyers please beware Sofaland”

★☆☆☆☆

written by bsKeegan244 on 23/01/2015

Buyers please beware Sofaland I purchased the Millan Black Settee (HS) and 2 Millan Black - Armchairs (HS) from 425 Walsall Rd, Birmingham B42 1BT, which were delivered on 21 July 2014. I have since noticed the material has become worn and cracked not a moth after delivery. The chairs have not been subject to any frequent use and I do not consider it reasonable that they are already showing signs of wear. I was not prepared to have the settee repaired. I intend to reject the sofa for a full refund or replacement. There has been a breach of contract in that the goods are not of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose or as described at the time of sale. The Sale of Goods Act 1979 states that goods should be: The goods/sofa did not meet that of a good standard which a reasonable person would regard as being satisfactory, taking account of any description applied to them. The satisfactory quality also includes the appearance and finish of the sofa, and their safety and durability and whether they are free from minor faults. This was not the case borne out by the report from Homeserve of which I would like a copy of, and I am entitled too. Public statements made by Sofaland, or their representative that relate to specific characteristics of the goods, particularly in advertising or on labelling, must be accurate and are taken into account when deciding if goods are of satisfactory quality. The sofa was fit for general purpose. The law says, if the goods do not conform to the contract, I am legally entitled to one of the following remedies: A replacement sofa or full refund and damages from Sofaland to cover the fault which has been proven by Homeserve who have reported that the sofa has not been seal correctly, and the stitching is deficient. I would not recommend Sofaland to anyone. Their customer service is very poor and one of their directors threatens you with by writing; if you decide to take this to court then Sofaland fully intends to defend the claim and we will look to counter claim against you for any legal fees and time spent defending the claim. This was lightened in RED. I think it’s a very pitiable company and service if the director has to stoop that low and not negotiate a settlement that both parties are satisfied with. Repeat: Buyers please beware.

“Awful leather ”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Austin01 on 10/11/2014

We purchased a 2 seater and 3 seater sofa on 6th July from the Alexandra Range. The leather on the three seater looked thin and crinkly, by January a tear appeared on the middle panel. Although the warranty didn't cover rips or tears Sofaland agreed to send an expert to look at it. They conceded that the leather was of poor quality and took away the middle panel and then came back a week later with the replacement. I argued at the time that the leather looked just as weak on the left and right panel and should be replaced too. My words were ignored and 3 months later these panels also had rips. When reported to Sofaland they advised that it was out of warranty and there would do nothing else to support us. A poor show by this company who should adopt a more robust quality system! People expect more than a year from leather sofa !!!!!

“Incorrect information on product”

★☆☆☆☆

written by pcHale279 on 29/07/2014

I recently enquired about a product from this shop, I asked for all information including the weight and dimensions. The sales representative gave me the information that I had asked. However the problem started when I received the sofa, the weight of this was more than double than what I was told. The shop took ages to reply when I contacted them about this, they said this was not their fault, this is very poor customer service and supplying the incorrect information to possible future customers is totally unacceptable. Do not believe a word this shop tells you!!!

In the world of home furnishings, it is very necessary to choose a right company for your furnishing requirements. And that’s what I did. I did a right job by opting for Sofaland as they offered me a high quality product at very reasonable cost. Not only this, they gave me 12 months of warranty. I will also suggest my friends to buy furniture only from Sofaland

It was my first visit to Sofaland showroom at Birmingham. See, the first impression is the last impression. I can say that Sofaland impressed me. Not only they have a good range of sofa but their sales staff was very helping. At no time I felt like I am being forced to buy sofa from them.

“Attractive Price”

★★★★★

written by Jackson12 on 08/04/2014

My niece told me that on Sofaland.com, sofas are available from 220 pounds to 260 pounds. I didn’t believe here initially. But when I actually visited the site, I was amazed. Such an excellent range of sofas and available at such affordable cost. I didn’t waste single minute in choosing my dream chesterfield sofa.

“Range & Price”

We were thinking of replacing our existing sofa set for a long time. One of my friends told me about Sofaland. Their website is really nice and gave a lot of information to us to decide. One of the best things about Sofaland is the range and price. I would say they provide the best at the most economical rate.

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM BE WARNED

Blueboy1955's Response to 444ESSEX's Review

Written on: 04/12/2014

I bought a leather suite from this company just over two years ago. They claim it is leather on wearing parts. The parts of the suite that are wearing are clearly vinyl. I have posted pictures on their website which they keep removing. I have also posted on twitter...they keep removing. If they haven't done anything wrong, why keep removing the truth?? The suite they sell look good value for money, for a very short time!!

At last a website that will post honest comments about Sofaland. This along with the 'Please don't buy form Sofaland Warrington' site, might help others. Plus the honest reviews that will be posted on 'Amazon' should stop people being hoodwinked. Many thanks.

tottally agree blueboy 1955,we bought a 3pce a few years ago said leather on wearable surfaces, after 18mths the 3 seater and chair started cracking splitting and opened up all over,i complained, had an experienced upholsterer look at the material who said although technicaly leather it is only approx 1.5mmm and is made from leather fibres ground then sprayed with a glue then painted/dyed,i sent them pictures of proof showing what had happened after just 18mts,they were not intersted and know people who buy cheap sofas wouldnt have the money to take them to small claims and find an upholsterer willing to stick up for you, they sell utter rubbish,my advice is if you can save for longer and buy the real deal although more expensive its better in the long run than wasting all your money on these cheaply made waste of money suites, they wont last,i payed £500 more from a reputable dealer with a special offer for REAL LEATHER and after 2yrs still as good, dont buy from this company unless you want a make me do for know,it wont last,be warned.toshofull.

“Really Comfortable”

★★★★★

written by nicholaslevi on 03/04/2014

In my house there are two sofa beds. One in my bed room which I purchased a just a week back and the other one in my sister’s. Mine one is from Sofaland.com while my sister’s one is from another known brand. My genuine comparison says that my Sofaland sofa bed is more comfortable then my sister’s.

The woman that helped us in store was very helpful. Sofas took less than 3 weeks to come and when they came they called to see of we were in etc. They also put sofas together and made sure we were happy and even took away the rubbish. Would 100% use again. Thanks Sofaland

“What a bargain!”

I purchases Roma recliner from Birm store last year. I am very happy with the sofa and the service which i got fr Sofaland. The leather is soft and thick and the seat cushions are medium to firm. The recliner is smooth and slightly hard to push back. The delivery was on time. The value was very good. This is my honest review. Thomaz

This time i went for the Fabio corner sofa in red. Its beautiful, so comfy and again i can nont fault the service or value for money. Thank you everybody, especially the drivers. They could not do enough.

“Awful service, I would never recommend”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Reeseva54 on 22/03/2014

I purchased a sofa in July 2013, by September 2013 is was damaged. I contacted the support centre and after few emails and phone calls we finally arranged for some one to 'inspect' the damage. the damage was repaired. A few months later (2to be exact) the sofa not only broke again but also developed a small tear. I sent emails including photos to the support centre, around a further 3 months of badgering and being sent back and forth to get more pictures, during which time more tears were appearing. Finally someone came out and looked atthe sofa, he wasn't given the full information and 'fixed' the chair, which has since resulted in a but hole. He then advised that the chair is faulty and needs to be replaced as the leather is bubbling which is causing it to split. Surprisingly Sofaland have not been in contact again, despite my contant emails to them. I would never recommend this store, not only for it poor Sofas but also because of the appalling customer service they provide.
