We had put up with our hideous 1960s staircase for much longer than we wished. Initially attracted by the wide variety of designs the NJ designer helped us settle on a modern oak & inset glass design. Then the surveyor took meticulous measurements and pointed out minor design features that would need special attention because of the layout, before supplying detailed templates. But the crowning feature was the care and attention given to the project by the fitting team - every joint perfectly finished and clean, every filled fixing invisible. Yes - it wasn't cheap, but the quality product we now have is a pleasure to look at and probably a good investment.
