“Don't be fooled, BEWARE!”

Firstly check the other trust pilot reviews under slightly different company name/headings and you will see they are a 1* company or would be less if that was possible. I've never had worse customer service and dealt with a company so dishonest as DFS. So much so that I will be submitting a formal complaint to the Furniture Ombudsman and Watchdog. I had to write this to warn others not to fall into the same trap, if only I had checked online reviews earlier, would've saved myself 2 months of waiting and numerous phone calls and stresses dealing with this horrible company.

Rally 3 seater sofa I bought is no longer on sale and I guess it's because the goods just don't match up and arrive damaged and faulty. However DFS will try to fob you off and just doing by doing basic web searches you will see that they are a sham company and use the same process.

Step 1 sofa arrives damaged - scratched, lumps on leather which basically look like a teenager with heavy acne. Call customer service and a manager is sent out to inspect.

Step 2 The manager that came to inspect disagrees, it's natural leather markings! Now I have never seen them on any previous leather sofas I've owned or on any friends and families leathers. Apparently you will find these marking in showroom sofas! I'm yet to find one after visiting quite a few recently. Everyone else I've showed pictures to also agreed that it's not good enough for a new sofa.

10 days in and the sofa is already starting to sag and I have barely sat on it as I'm waiting for a TV and stand to arrive. But no, manager again says this is natural and gravity, yes after 10 days expect gravity to already start to take its toll on a brand new sofa! It's poorly made, cheap materials and stitch work/filler which has caused this. There was also an indentation that became visible by the armrest. The response this time was ' oh give it a month or 2 and it might wear in as its new leather, if not then we'll send somebody out'! Yes that's right, nobody will be sent out to fix a problem as it 'might' resolve itself in 1-2 months. Hilarious.

The manager sent out was the most arrogant and rude person I've ever met. Talks down to you and blatantly lies about the product so that they don't have to send out repairs or refund you. Now at this point they hope that would be enough to fob you off.

Luckily I was on a credit plan so was able to cancel it before being forced into having this poor replica of what I had seen in store.

Next step they will offer a 2nd visit and opinion which is absolutely pointless as it's from the same branch and really just another time wasting tactic for them. Trying to wear you down or hoping that you run over your cancellation period. I declined and instead sent the store manager many photos which many other people witnessed and thought showed a damaged and faulty leather sofa. Sadly the manager disagreed and the same response was received, 'it's natural, other sofas in showrooms display that. Every sofa will turn out differently' not necessarily up to the standards of what you were sold at the store! I managed to cancel but endured a lot of stress and much time wasted still without a sofa, if you don't want this to be you then AVOID DFS at all cost!
