We praised Dfs for their Sales Service and delivery service. However, despite sharing information with the Salesman what type of sofa my husband needed for a bad back, there was absolutely no indication how heavy the sofas would be. We just can not move them. I contacted DFS to ask for advice and I was very surprised to be told as it wasn't a fault, nothing they could do. I replied and asked that my correspondence be escalated to a Customer Services Manager who telephoned back and advised we should purchase easy gliders at a cost of £60, again not really understanding our disappointment or surprise at this hidden cost. I asked why this essential item was not offered at point of sale and I was asked to contact the branch I purchased the sofa from. My husband phoned Dundee, spoke to the salesman who apologised for not offering me the easygliders at point of sale and told my husband there was no way round this additional charge and that if you go to Tesco's you cant get a loaf of bread for free. So I am extremely disappointed that after spending £3k on 2 sofas, I have to now spend a further £60 to do a simple, basic routine task like move sofas just to hoover. The salesman advised the info is on the website.. but we bought in store ! DFS lack of understanding why I am so disappointed has not gone unnoticed. Rightly or wrongly perhaps I should have tried to move the sofas, but as I have always been able to move my other sofas, I did not even think this would be a problem. DFS not interested, so I would suggest if you visit DFS be aware of this hidden charge simply just to be able to move your sofa. Even if we had been told of this charge on our visit, we could have added this onto our repayment plan, but now we have to make a one off payment. Very poor and very very unfair to treat your customers in this way. Disappointed is an understatement.

YES, agree - absolutely ridiculous you spend £3k on sofas - then you have to spent £60 to just be able to move them, their mistake for not telling you so as a gesture of goodwill, they should be giving you them for at least 50% if not free! Avoid the Dundee story - far too many poor reports of their aftercare service - experience has proved, not interested....go to Harveys!
