So many errors/unacceptable standard

We had a variety of work including new bathrooms, kitchen and bedroom furniture. There have been numerous problems, mainly around people not turning up at designated times (Elecs, Gas and plastering and even the fitters). If you have booked time off work be prepared for lengthy delays. even if you intend leaving them at home when going into work, I have never known an Avanti person turn up on time - always an excuse.

The problem is that all work is sub contracted out:

- Our kitchen took 3 weeks to be completed due to plasterers not turning up twice. They are employed by the fitter.

- Bathroom - Electrician did not turn up to check under-floor heating until it had been laid with tiles on top. One tile was a different colour to the rest due to lack of lighting due to elec people not turning up.

Incorrect items issued or not issued at all

Faulty workmanship i.e. wardrobe top area - big join visible/painting and plastering appalling - I am having to pay a professional decorating firm to try and make right the work by Avanti.

The overall quality of material is good, however, people working for Avanti are too busy and appear to cut corners to move onto the next job, I was fed up hearing how busy they are!

Avanti was recommended to us but we wish we had never heard of the name now.

To be fair they have rectified all defects after my emails and escalation apart from the painting which is the final straw - too the extent I will not allow them anywhere near my house to fix as I have zero confidence.

So beware, if you area busy person, running a home and family and work, things could take a lot longer and just check drawings and material withfitters before they start. Do not trust them if they say thye can make things right with incorrect items - they can't, they just want the money and to go.
