I ordered a number of small items on the 19th May in the morning and received an e-mail for delivery address confirmation; there was no option to confirm this and no delivery address shown in other words a completely useless e-mail. Once I had completed the initial order I was advised a confirmation e-mail could not be provided as this was a 'busy period' and to check my in box later. This I did but there was NO further e-mails other that the pointless delivery address e-mail earlier. I then spent the next hour on the phone (much of this on hold) trying to resolve this issue, eventually I was told that the order had not completed and as no payment had been taken I was advised to do the order again! I did this and got the same message that being 'due to a busy period' my order could NOT be confirmed...By now this was 7pm. Again I phoned (NOW TOTALLING 3 HOURS ON THE PHONE THROUGHOUT THE DAY!!) Argos Customer Service where they advised me the order had been place and should be confirmed in due course...20th May...Needless to say NO order confirmation e-mail, no delivery confirmation e-mail, no call back at 10am as agreed by the Argos Customer Service....Not even an apology. Needless to say I should never have veered from Amazon, I only tried Argos due to the fact I had money off voucher...Never Again. Sat at home today instead of working as I booked today off in anticipation of a delivery from Argos. How on earth does Argos expect to compete with the likes of Amazon when their prices are not competitive and their on-line service is a disaster only matched by their incompetent customer service? If you are looking to try Argos on line then expect something to go wrong...You have been warned!
