We had this freezer from new for 5 years and we expected better from Hotpoint.

We were experiencing problems from the start and was told that it was our fault for opening the fridge door! But it was under warranty so we took the repair Three visits from a repair guy and he replaced for free a part from Hotpoint. There must a have been a design fault from the start. The fridge freezer worked well for 4 years. It has now officially died. The fridge does not work and the freezer is running a bit warmer than would like. An engineer came and told us that liquid had shortened the PCB unit and he had never seen such a rusted up fan in his life.

This is a frost free unit so it does make some unusual noises.

We have bought a new fridge freezer and we will not be buying any major Hotpoint appliances again.
