I have been using Xoom for a couple of years now to send money to the Philippines. The money is ready for pick-up within 5 minutes or less, and there are several convenient locations there for receiving the remittance.

It was nice that they recently lowered the fee from $5.99 to $4.99 when using your bank account. This makes Xoom cheaper than other options I've seen, but I'm not sure the exchange rate is always competitive That can really affect larger payments.

I miss being able to use PayPal as a payment option. I will never use the credit card option since I think that would invoke a cash advance. With PayPal, you could use your credit card and have it billed as a normal transaction.
