Aged 81, I decided to sell my apartment in The Hague, Netherlands, that I had inherited from my Dutch aunt in 1998. The sale was fairly difficult, but went through OK in the end. Then I had the problem of bringing the "bacon" home. Being a subscriber to "Money Which", I checked with their advisers, who recommended World First, amongst others.
I contacted some of them, but World First was the one that impressed me the most, so I went with them. My Dutch bank seemed to make every thing so complicated and difficult, that I was really worried that changing the money into GB Pounds would be equally difficult. However, my World First contact was so patient, friendly and helpful that in the end every thing went off very easily, and at an advantageous rate of exchange!
