Used transfergo for UK to Oz transfer. Deposit using debit card was declined, so used direct deposit. made deposit before 10am GMT on thursday and got confirmation before 12 noon. However, on logging on to Transfergo, the activity feed said ID need to be uploaded. I received no email about this, Had I not seen the activity log, the transfer would have been idle. Received email that ID verification was approved. And by Friday evening I received another email to say transfer was done.
However, the funds were not available in OZ bank account until Tuesday morning. So Transfergo should be careful boasting that transfers only take 24 hours. The transfer was 20 AUD short because of a fee. I left a review on another review site and Transfergo reported it saying it had violated the guidelines as I had quoted external links. i.e. other money transfer services.
They refunded 10 GBP in "compensation" for the 20 AUD fee charged during the course of the transfer by whoever it was (intermediary bank/receiving bank). Hardly "compensation", I would call it a refund, as they claim the amount quoted at the start of the transfer will be the amount transferred. Be vary of this if you have to make important payments that require a certain amount in AUD. Best to go with a provider that have a track record of doing this.
