pcalonje's review of Moneygram Money Transfer

“Warning! Moneygram Lists False Locations on their Website”

★☆☆☆☆

written by pcalonje on 19/06/2014

I decided to use Moneygram because I used the "find a location feature" and the site list many Dollar Generals in the area where I needed to sent money to someone. Since Dollar General is the closest location to the individual I was transfering money to, I decided to use Moneygram even though Moneygram was more expensive than its competitor. My friend walked all the way to Dollar General and Dollar General does not handle Moneygram transactions. I called Moneygram and told them that I paid more for their service because of what their site lists in error. He looked up Dollar General and he said that Moneygram does not tranfer through Dollar General. I told him that is not what their website states. He did nothing to help me as a new customer who uses money transfer systems quite often. He just said over and over that they do not go through Dollar General, kept repeating where the money can be picked up which is most inconvient, and offered no solution. He just said sorry ma'am. Needless to say, I will never use Moneygram ever again. This is also the first time I have ever looked for a site to post a review because I am so upset.
