There are few methods available to send money to Eastern Europe. MoneyGram, begrudgingly, will send your money but only after multiple phone calls, hours on hold, and suffering through the bad attitudes of the customer service reps. I've been using them for a several weeks now but only until I can send my family the debit card to the American bank account I set up.

Words alone cannot express how badly MoneyGram treats their customers, they truly don't care if you do business with them or not. At one point, an agent suggested that my family was part of an unspecified scam (apparently someone was once scammed by a Ukrainian, now MoneyGram suspects ALL Ukrainians, seems pretty bigoted to me).

Be prepared to have your transaction arbitrarily cancelled and if you dare call to inquire, be prepared for the ugly insinuations and insulting, patronizing treatment.
