Item: Ford Galaxy 2.3i Zetec
I have owned this car since August 2008, it ' s on a 2000 W reg, and I bought it for the space as I am always carrying large things about as part of my work. This car is very well equipped for a vehicle of this kind, the spec level it is more like something that you would expect from a German or Japanese car manufacturer than you would expect from Ford, but then again it is a Volkswagen design that Ford built under licence so you wont get many reliability issues if you have the car serviced ...

I have only one criticism - a major one. The design of the spare tyre retaining mechanism on my old model is awful. It frequently breaks - like mine did. How have Ford geared their mighty Empire to solve the problem on newer models? Simple - According to my info - you haven't got a spare tyre, just a repair kit! How daft is that?

Just about everything has gone wrong with my Ford Galaxy, has cost me a fortune to repair, only 2001 reg but new gearbox, clutch, 2 exhausts and tyres every 4 months, lots and lots of repair

Item: Ford Galaxy 115TDI Ghia
Awesome all-round workhorse. Driven carefully will give upto 50MPG and costs no more to run than any estate car. Versatility is the key whether carrying people or stuff or a bit of both! Very comfortable on long journeys.
Opt for a GHIA to get the bells and whistles, especially Cruise Con.
Compared to my previous VW Sharan I'd take the Galaxy hands down and at least the Ford dealerships don't look down their noses at you quite as ...
