This Ford Excursion SUV is built for power, the 7.3l Turbo disel engine have about 250 hp and with a simple chip you can increase the engine power to 350 hp (whitout an increase in the gas consumption) About 850 Newtonmeter! RAW power... If you have a large caravan you should buy this car. And the body is galvanized so rust won`t bother you. I have had my Ford Excursion for about 3 years gone about 170 000 km (2001 mod) and I drive it in Norway (on the mountains and near the sea) Zero problems ...

We just had a baby, and there was simply no room in either of our vehilces. I had an old Ford pick-up, and my wife had a Toyota Corolla so we purchased the Ford Excursion SUV. I know the MPG sucks, but I am safe, and I feel safe. Nobody DARES to cut me off anymore, and people going too slow on the highway get out of my way. It's comfortable. I don't feel like I'm sitting on a pillow on the floor.
We plan on having another baby in a few months, so I need something that can handle 2 ...

Let's quit bashing the big boys. Everybody's needs don't fit into a subcompact or compact SUV. Some of us are older, bigger and have large families and lots of friends. I have two married children and three grandchildren. When we go somewhere together, we can ride together. That's one car for trips not three. Dinner dates out with friends is now one car not four cars on the road. As far as parking goes you don't have to park at the front door. Park out in the lot away from everybody and walk. ...
