Do not be lured by the honeyed promises of huge profits. This is definitely not a way of parting with your hard earned spare cash. They will be very convincing and even issue letter of guarantee of having already secured a buyer or restaurant that would be able to soak up your buys in 6 to 9 months. When the time is up, they will turn around to say that the stocks have not been depleted sufficiently as there was lesser demand than expected. So what do you do? Hold on to your wines. Stay away. Unless i see some concrete action on their part to return my messages and sell my wines, there will be nothing good i can say.

No lie is off limits for them. If you are even remotely civil, they will squeeze you for every drop of money you have to spare. Stay as far away as possible.

I know a few of you have had different issues with this company, but I can safely say that my experience with them has been positive. I have only had my investment with them for a year so I guess it's early days but I have had constant access to my broker and not been oversold as can be the case with some companies. I guess it's a case of watch this space for me.

I have been with AWI for just over 3 years, I have not had any issues with any of my investments, and have had the pleasure of seeing my portfolio mature and yield a modest return. Investing in Wine can be difficult without the correct knowledge but they seem to know what they are doing. My only complaint about AWI, is that often I do have to wait a week or so for any response to my requests, but eventually they do get back to me. If where not for this I would have given them 5 stars.

Hi there I'm currently a client with AWI but my experience and many others are totally opposite from yours. You can read more by googling 'AWI'+'scam'. In my experience, after sending an email indicating my intention to sell my wine, I received no respond from my broker. Calling him to leave messages resulted in the same no-response. Called the receptionist and she did not offer to get him to call back either. In the end I was transferred to their staff in charge of selling the wine, with the comment that 'he will have to direct my request to them anyway'. Totally disappointing and lousy customer service. Thus it is good to hear that someone had good sales service with them as it give me some hope that AWI is not a total scam, and that hopefully I will get money back. But I seriously advise those seeking to buy any wine to think twice about investing with AWI.
