I bought this flute sight unseen, as it was listed on ebay used and the price was very attractive for a solid silver instrument, so I took a chance. When I got it I was pleasantly surprised. The solid silver sounds great. The gold springs are very light.

This flute is made by Haynes. Ever since Powell hit it big with their step-up Sonare line, every flute company is now coming out with a good-quality step-up line. The Amadeus compares favorably with a Powell or Muramatsu. I also tried the Azumi and Sonare, and it beats those hands down, in my opinion.

As I said, I bought this used on ebay, so the price was reasonable. I can't say whether I would have paid full price for a new one. In my case I got a real value for the money, and I would recommend it to everyone.
