i had a very healthy 4 year old neutered tom i gave him frontline 6 weeks ago and after a week or so i noticed he was losing weight.i monitered what he was eating and noticed his appetite wasnt as normal.then i noticed vomit each morning not a lot but vomit all the same .because i have three cats i wasnt 100 % which one it was however after watching them eat and keeping them in for an hour i noticed it was my tom cat that was being sick.also he only ever laid in the garden under a bush and drank lots of water, after the treatment where as normally he would be off out all day playing.i took him to the vet and he said his kidneys were huge....and a funny shape he also noticed a lump and thought it may be a foreign object they decided to keep him in for a few days....they treated him with anitbiotics and gave him a syrup for acid production in his tummy as when they xrayed him they couldnt see what the lump was.after four days he had started to eat a little bit of iams kitten biscuit,so they let me bring him home until a blood test was due the following week.however by the monday he was following me around and was drinking lots and literally having two mouthfuls of biscuit a day.i took him back to the vet and asked for them to do an exploritory op to see what this lump was.they did and i recieved a call from the vet to say it was a tumour and that there was nothing they could do to save him so we let him go on the operating table, when i went to see the vet he said that they had also looked at the pancreas and that was covered in tumours as well,he is pretty sure all events kidneys stomach and pancreas were involved....this happened to me four years ago with another tom cat and although my oyher two cats seem fine im now convinced this product is not safe,it must affect some animals more that others.i wont be using this again.by the way i live in england.
