Guest's review of Advocate for Cats

“Best on market!”

Having read the previous review where someone said that 'Advocate' is dangerous and it made their cats hair fall out, I seriously have to say, that I think this is a case of the cat maybe having an allergic reaction - pretty rare. I have 5 cats ageing from 10 to 6 months and have always used 'Advocate' on them all! This is the best duo flea/worming product available and I buy it from my vets every month. It is highly recommended over 'Frontline' and other flea treatments. I have had no problems with this product harming my cats, they have never been off their food following treatment and have never had fleas or worms! The vets will tell you, nothing beats this; and yes, it comes at a price, but worth it for your cats! I cannot complain about this product at all, none of my cats have been affected by it in a bad way and I know a lot of people (friends and family) that long used it on their cats and dogs and have never had any problems.

you also need to know it can kill your pet and the vets that stock it and reccomend it also make money from selling it.
Read all reviews not just the first one.

i got a kitten a few months back and he had fleas so i bought some frontline. i had used frontline in the past on my other cats with no problem. but when i applied it to my kitten he scratched like mad for 3 days and he still had fleas, he was also vomited 2 days after. i waited a month and applied another dose of frontline, again he scratched like mad for 3 days, and vomited 2 days after and yes he still had fleas. i could see the poor boy was getting depressed with it all. anyway i did some research online and found that the reviews for frontline were quite poor. it seems frontline is not so good anymore. i waited another month then took my kitten to the vets, he recommended frontline combo. i told him i had read reviews and it seemed like it wasnt a good product, what other products do u have? he said advocate. so i went with that. the vet tried to push me to buy the fronline combo, i think that since the sales of frontline have gone down they are paying vets to endorse it. but in my opinion why endorse a product which simply doesnt work? anyway applied the advocate to my kitten, he scratched twice that day. the next day the scratching had stopped and there were dead fleas all in his bed. i checked him over with a flea comb and nothing. advocate a great product and i cant recommed it enough.

Of course vets will recommend it as it can not be obtained over the counter at a shop, unlike frontline. Until recently vets sang the praises about frontline, but when it became available at supermarkets at a much lower price than vets were willing to sell it for they suddenly decided that the product was no good and began to recommend Advocate. Surprise surprise!
