Guest's review of Tatiana de Rosnay, Sarah's Key

“my most favorite film!!”

This film takes place in German occupied Paris in 1942 and present-day Paris. An American journalist investigates into a little girl who lived in Paris then. The girl's name is Sarah. This story alternates between Sarah's life in 1942 and the journalist resaerching the story in 2009.

This film mainly asks us 2 things. Is it a good thing to research information which nobody will be happy? And if yu were there, what could you do? Probably almost everybody including me wouldn't be able to do anything, but there were a few people who still helped Sarah even though they knew that situation was so dangerous.

The girl who plays Sarah is electrifying. It was absolutely awesome in scene where she screamed. When I saw that she screamed, I couldn't help crying. Her performance is really gripping.

This is one of the best films I've recently seen. I really would recommend it. This film lets us think a lot of things. It makes us think about the history of people's guilt.
