Extremely helpful call centre who explained everything very clearly when I booked my horsebox in. Followed up with email the following week for return journey confirmation. This is not the first time I used A Ferry Freight with similar service last time. I used P&O and staff on board couldn't be more considered the fact I travelled a horse on their ship (read more)

we booked a 1pm crossing for our driver, however when the booking came through it was for 12pm. So we had to re-arrange with our supplier, then when the driver arrived at the port he was told he could not board the ferry because the van was too long, I called the office and was told the mix-up was at they're end, however he did not make the ferry and had to wait til 1pm anyway which we were initially told was fully booked! Being older I am slightly intimidated with online bookings. I found the aferry website clear & simple to use. Took me no time to booked our van on, including 4m rails on the roof rack. The office later phoned me, on their own accord, to help with flexibility on our return journey. This was above and beyond the call of duty. Tried to book a ferry from Gills Bay to St Margarets Hope return. As it was a van booking that I know from previous bookings could not be done on line, I gave them a call. Aferry gave the details of Pentland Ferries because aferry are unable to book any Pentland Ferry Services. (Then why advertise the route and timetable on aferry.co.uk website?) We started dealing with AFerryFreight last month for the Aberdeen-Lerwick route. The nature of our business depends heavily on our clients needs and this means we need to be reactive therefore we have required to change the dates of our travel bookings on a few occasions. aferry was very helpful when we had to change our tickets at the last minute: although their advice about freight & transporting a horse was somewhat misleading: to be fair they did sort out the issue last minute & it didn't cost me any more money. Moved a horse, 6 cats & a dog from South of France to England. One car broke down & they refunded that fare & combined us into a new booking with the landrover & the zoo! “Cheaper going direct”

Very expensive compared to booking direct with Ferry Company, Over £2000.00 more!. When called and asked why over the phone they couldn't really explaine. Wont be using again just for the price. When you google freight ferries this comes up and since I never done before thought this was the main site. Cost nearly £4500 when going direct to ferry company or calling them would have cost roughly £3000.00. (read more)

I recently had to move furniture from the UK to France. I was travelling with a van, and whilst trawling through the internet came across aferry. The van was 7.5m long, on their site the search i did only went to 6.5m, so I called them. They were very pleasant and explained that I would have to travel as freight due to the length of the van and directed me to aferryfreight.com, their freight website. I telephoned the number on the web site as I was booking a freight crossing. The representative anwered the call I gave her the details, she gave me the price. I paid over the phone and received an email confirmation with all the details on it as promised. I've used Aferry booking several times for friends who fairly regularly travel from Scotland to Eastern Europe, and don't feel too confident about speaking English on the phone. I have always been treated extremely courteously. What a delight to find aferryfreight.co.uk, I wanted to get from the UK to Corsica to transport some furniture in June.
