I have a 1.9 jtd stilo, it has many little fiddly problems nothing i cant live with but it is generally a great car, i think it has set the standard for hatchbacks considering when it had first come out. All cars have problems, this is wear and tear. generally people stick to what they know. fiats were previously pretty poor with elecrical problems and rust but since 1998 the bodies are galvanised so you do not have to worry about these things. handling is ok, starts every time on the button, very spacious inside for a small car, has lots of kit and you get great economy. Very under rated. there a large range of new age fiats available some very advanced. Personally I blame jeremy clarkson for being bias and not offering fair opinions on a variety of vehicles.
