“Great all rounder”

★★★★★

Reliable, economical, very fast 110hp diesel, great handling when fitted Michelin pilot sport 3 tyres, good steering and brakes. Almost fully loaded with gagets! Low tax and insurance. Low maintenance costs. Been looking for a reason to change this car for ages but can't find a better alternative! Can outperform so many other cars with proper maintenance and most important 4 matching performance tyres (transformed this vehicle!) Electric folding mirrors and parking sensors the only thing missing from the vtr+ although fitted to the exclusive. Try a used one they are now so cheap now!

“Citroen C4 Coupe, 2.0, VTR+. 6 years of service”

★★★★☆

written by archaeoman on 18/08/2013

I bought the Citroen C4 (2007), 2.0, vtr+, petrol in order to have a little bit of extra power on the road. It is a great vehicle. Good safety, little road noise, good fuel consumption and very little problems and failing parts. It needs to be well maintained since the cabin quality and wear and tear can deteriorate quickly if not careful. Service costs are approx. £200 per year in order to keep on top of maintenance and unwelcome surprises. Alloy wheels can be easily damaged so be careful when parking. Also the Citroen C4 cabin fragrance for the pre 2011 models is very difficult to find with only ebay offering out of date refills. Car seats and trim withstand the the test of time. However, plastics and steering wheel buttons can loose colour and shine. Also beige roof and plastics tend to get grey dust difficult to remove. The only thing I would suggest to be aware is the condition of the air condition. Cold air seems to have difficulties after 3-4 years with re-gassing needed to be done annually. Still cold air not freezing with maybe need to repair/replace air condition parts. Great car that is regularly maintained should not give you nightmares Basil

“Brilliant overall”

★★★★★

written by on 30/10/2011

The Citroen Coupe is a visually sharp and still commands the attention of passers by even though the car is no longer made. Brilliant comfort - I've used it to drive all over Europe. Very practical too. In terms of style the new C4 and DS4 come nowhere near the old C4 Coupe. Looks like I will keep my care until Citroen can produce another unique car.

This car has no problems at all - it's still one of the best looking on the road, even after three years of owning it i'm proud! The JBL-hi-fi is superb, quality and punchy sound. There is minimal road noise (and i test drove the famous 'lexus hush' to compare it!). I compared it to many other cars on the road of similar size (including seat, suzuki, renault, peugeot etc) but none of these cars had either the charisma, value for money or feeling of overall quality that the Citroen had. I have mine in green and had the optional bodykit added. Everything has worn really well, if at all. Was thinking about updating my car, but i can't see why?! I do around 30,000 miles a year (which i'm told is the highest pretty much for the average Citroen driver!) and yet no faults at all and going strong. The power is fantastic, not too brash and hardly a highly tuned sports car but it can certainly pull it's weight pretty smartish if desired! I would recommend this car to anybody, what a cracker!

Excelent car, as a mater of fact I checked other cars like (peugeot's 207, 308, mazda 3, Renault Megane II, Nissan Tiida, Honda Civic, VW Golf V, Mitsubishi Lancer EX and to be honest I was Amazed be security features, equipment and Cost/Value of this car. indeed a great car with a lot of small details that Citro n put inside this coup .

I like the Citroen C4 vtr plus because its very comfortable to drive. I used many times for long drive and some parts of them are made of plastic so you dont worry about rust. I dont like rusty cars. Perfect for me other than golf and cheapest than other cars made in England.

In a nutshell the Citroen C4 1.6 VTR+coupe is a brilliant car, looks and handles well, relatively inexpensive to run. If you are looking for something sporty, packed with loads of spec then this is one to go for. Looks and drives exceptionally well, & very comfortable on long journeys. Great spec including duel climate control, speaker system sounds nearly as good as the Bose speakers in a previous car I owned, so very impressed to say the least. My local dealership in Taunton are very friendly and sort things straight away, keep you informed well, not like other car companys we have dealt with (diamond shape badge!). Hats off to Citroen, this is really a superb car. Spare parts and accessories are well priced and good quality, although wiper blades are a little on the pricey side.

The Citroen C4 is wonderful car, I have him for 3 months and I'm very satisfy, very comfortable, high quality materials, he attract attention wherever he ' s. Maybe the only drawback is fuel consumption (average 9.0-9.2), and I also think that his price should be higher because he really worth a lot.

I love to sit on its chair, I love to ride my car and the view from the inside as an over all it is very unique and very elegant. Much more better than the golf 5.

I bought a Citroen C4 Coupe 1.6 16v VTR Plus after I checked all the other similar cars (Nissan Tiida, VW golf, Mazda 3, Suzuki Swift, Chevrolet, New Astra, Renault Megane, Kia Ceratto, Toyota Auris).
This Citroen (by the way, it wasn't on my list) is the most comfortable of all those above. Much more accessories. A different look. Wide doors.
This coupe is great for tall guys like me because the doors are big, so you have full visibility to the right and to the left. With the 4 doors version, your head is just between the doors, and you can't see if you turn your head.
It is also one of the fastest cars.

You have all the toys inside (cruise control, AC, airbags, etc)

The seats are very comfortable and you can regularise them - something very important for tall people.
