“Do not book with Spabreaks.com, poor service”

I recently booked a one night spa break for myself and a friend, I was very definite to the person making the booking that we had to have a twin room (2 women travelling together) on arrival we found out that the hotel was full and the room we booked was a double with Zip & Link beds, this means the beds are zipped together to make a double and can be unzipped to make a twin, great idea! unless the room is not big enough to separate the beds so even though they are made up as single beds they… Read Full Review

I am trying to book a weekend for me and a friend. We arent the most well off but thought we deserved a night and a spa treatment. This site looked wonderful! Prices were right and we decided to book. I then get a call from a very rude man . He said there wasnt avaliablilty for that price of room and we would have to go up over £100 which we werent willing to do. I was given a voucher from spabreaks.com for my birthday. I tried to book a spa day using it and had real difficultly in finding any availability. When we did eventually find a date that worked I was told unfortunately the price had gone up (I got the voucher less than a month ago)and the only way to book the spa day was for me to pay more. Booked spa break with spabreaks and paid in full. 2 weeks later spabreaks called me to say the hotel had made a mistake and there was no availability. Spabreaks offered me 2 alternative hotels, I chose one and then spabreaks informed they had no availability, why would you offer a hotel if you hadnt checked availability. Booked spa break with spabreaks.com and paid in full. 2 weeks after I made the booking they telephoned me to say the hotel that they booked on my behalf was fully booked. I asked for alternative hotels, which they provided, I chose from the alternatives and they came back to me to say the alternative was fully booked. My sister, my mum and I all received a gift voucher for Xmas from my dad. I tried to book a day for us altogether on the phone with Spa Breaks and they said I had to call back because I only had my voucher code. So I got the codes and rang back - first time i was told someone would call me back, 2nd time I was told I had come through to the wrong department and the operator hung up. Contacted them about spa weekend, they told me that the hotel was fully booked, I asked for alternate dates to which they replied that it's all fully booked all the dates I gave and for the next 4 months in advance.. I booked a spa day for myself and my other half, unfortunately she was then told she had to work on the day of the spa. I contacted spa breaks 2 weeks prior to the event to reschedule and was told of the £25 refund or cancellation fee. I explained that I wasn't cancelling just rebooking. They then proceeded to tell me the hotel charges them £25 for 'admin fees' So I contacted the hotel who denied any knowledge of charging spabreaks.
