Holmfirth Vineyard is set in a beautiful valley and the guide, grower and winemaker (all one person!) provided a really interesting and informative tour. We first explored the vineyard and then the winemaking facilities with the all our awkward wine-related questions being expertly answered. This was followed by us sampling the delicious wines grown and produced on site. Lunch was served in the new restaurant with amazing views over the valley and reservoirs below. The food was second to none with great service from really friendly staff. The trip was topped off with a bottle of wine from the vineyard to take home. An excellent experience which we'd thoroughly recommend - worth combining with a short stay in Holmfirth with its wide range of bars, restaurants, walks, events and more.
