Delta Force Thornbury, near Bristol. The day didn't get off to a good start - it was pouring with rain and very cold when we left home, and it continued to rain for most of the day. But that didn't put off 18 x 11 year old boys who had an absolutely fantastic day. A couple of them were a bit anxious at first, but they were all on a high come lunch time. Parents said that they couldn't get their boys to stop talking about it when they got home, it was that good! But the best thing of all for me was the kind Delta Force manager who offered me a hotwater bottle, and regular top ups throughout the course of the day. Being stuck at base whilst everyone is enjoying the paintball fun is the worst part, I think, but the hotwater bottle made the experience bearable and, together with free tea and coffee, enjoyable... The newly developed site is fantastic, the staff friendly and fun as well as safety conscious - all in all to be highly recommended.

One learning point for us was to limit the number of paintballs that the boys took in to each game. It can easily become very expensive if you don't introduce rationing at the start.
