Great day out

After the poor summer to have gone out on the first proper day of decent weather was an absolute Godsend. Orientation lap in a Focus, three fast laps in each of the Porsche and Atom, followed up with a hot lap in the Radical (well worth the £15 upgrade). Super day out.

Everything is very well organised (my only minor gripe is that they could do with megaphones to call out names - they were running exceptionally early, and from the cafe area I was unable to hear my name being called at all, so in the end I set off 25 mins late, having arrived in plenty of time)

And do bring extra cash. This is the gift that keeps on taking! Upgrades, weekend supplement, insurance waivers, photos, videos, breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are plenty of ways for you to be parted from your readies. But if you are aware in advance, then it won't spoil your occasion.

I've now got the bug. Next time I'll look at other ways to get some more laps on a track, so will start saving now.
