Having recently bought a 190SE I can honestly say that they are a much under rated beast. It is a good solid, well engineered (with the help of BMW), well equiped car. Its not the fastest thing on the road but it sounds great and is perfectly adequate 95% of the time. Handling is tight and predictable and the ride not too harsh. Its well worth having a look on the owners forum site as they have a wealth of knowledge and experience. The V6, unless you are doing a huge mileage, is the one to go for. Mine will easily do 30mpg on a run without being too gentle.
Where else can you get a fully loaded 05 plate car with with full history and only 50k for well under £3,000. Parts supply is not a problem and there are many Xpart service centres.
These cars are not only the best value motors on the second hand market, they are also one of the best kept secrets.
