We rented a property through Your Move and the process of moving out and getting our deposit back has been a nightmare.
We had the property professionally cleaned when we moved out and provided receipts to prove it. Your Move then held our deposit for 2 weeks (nearly £2,500) before telling us that there were £120 worth of additional charges being made.
When I pushed for a response and receipts of the additional work that had been done I was told that no work had actually taken place and that the money was being held for cleaning that should have taken place. Quite where or what this cleaning was is unclear.
My major gripe is the blase attitude towards customers money and general lack of communication or understanding. It was assumed that I would limply agree and agree to the additional charges and they seemed genuinely put out when I asked for a receipt... I then understood why, it doesn't exist!
