Sharman Quinney happily came along to value our house, and as expected, were cagey on giving an actual valuation. Instead, they prefer a vendor to name their set price - and they'll market it at whatever you ask, because their agents get a bonus for every property they sign up. We decided against using them, on account of their hideous marketing - photos of properties consist mainly of corners or close-ups of windows sills; they stoically refuse to commission floor plans; and their fees seemed extraordinarily high. Couple this in with their persistent pushing of "financial advice" as a requirement, and we went elsewhere - and sold our property in six weeks.
Furthermore, despite giving a couple of their offices a pretty specific brief for our onward requirements, they continually bombarded us with ill-matched properties that barely scraped our needs and wants. Credit to them for aggressively marketing the properties they have, but such relentless pursuing of buyers can be quite off-putting. Suffice, we've steered clear of any SQ-marketed properties in our search.
