“Don't do it”

I rented out my property through Ludlow Thompson and I ended up spending more money than making it. To boot the staff lied to my face and pressured me continually to accept their overpiced repair services. The tenants cancelled the contract early and now they won't refund me the outstanding management fee. In fact, there is nothing I liked about them apart from the fact their office is close to my flat.

mate, can you make heads or tails of their statements...even my accountant can't explain or understand where our money is going. I wonder if they purposely make them confusing so they can keep hidden cost hidden.
These random 'visual Inspection fee' keep appearing on our statements costing £60...I didn't authorized any inspection and what they hell are they doing in these inspection to justify £60?
I dread the tenants ending the contract early...I'm afraid I will have to fight to get the management fees that they charged for the three year lease up front and it is the reason why I haven't fired them because I just don't need a battle at the moment with a new baby and job etc...but they have sure made things financially difficult that I might have to take our woes further.
This is the first agents I have dealt with, maybe they are all bad. I should have used a friend or relative to tend to our flat and pay them.

The rent is supposed to be our money!!!!

I just want to make a couple of general points in relation to your post as background to the way we work.

We think that long term tenancies and managed rent collections are a good option for landlords because they protect them against the risk that rents will fall from their current record level.

We therefore think that it is suitable for many landlords to “lock-in” current high rents by signing tenants into a long-term contract. Inevitably the set-up costs of these long-term lettings in terms of marketing and resourcing are incurred upfront and these costs are recognised in the fees at that time.

Part of the high upfront costs of these tenancies funds a robust due diligence procedure for every property that we let.

Although our contracts are clear on the terms and conditions I would be very hopeful that we could reach an agreement with you should you get in touch with our customer services team.
