I went with Express after being with traditional estate agency for six months without receiving any offers. It took two weeks for Express to erect a for sale board which was disappointing, although full internet advertising was in place. Approximately four weeks after putting the property on with Express I was contacted and asked to drop the price, which I reluctantly did.Some three weeks later I got my first and only viewing, which went well enough, but was offered less than price I had dropped to. Eventually and reluctantly accepted the offer and the sale went through without any difficulties. With regard to the fees of nearly £3000 I do not really think it was value for money, but I suppose it did sell. I reckon if I had put the house on the market at the price I eventually sold it for, it would have sold just as quickly.
