Two students renting a 2 bedroom apartment just off Holloway Road. Despite the occasional difficulties with neighbours below us (needless to say no fault of the agency) the flat was quite modern, nicely finished and generally well equipped in terms of furniture, although the bedrooms could have done with some chests of drawers.

ENTERING PROPERTY - Good
The property was in good condition when we arrived, as was the garden which had been cleaned, spruced and tidied just before we arrived.

INVENTORY CHECK - Average
There were a few marks and cracks missing in the ingoing inventory report, and we asked that these were added, which they were. We were constantly provided with all the requisite documentation which was thorough and sufficient.

SERVICE - Good
The service we received from Black Katz was generally good. We experienced substantial delay in waiting for a washing machine to be replaced, but we were eventually provided with a good quality one at no cost to us. Getting in touch was never an issue, and e-mails were generally replied to within the hour and at most, the next morning. The crew were generally very respectful and pleasant to talk to and seemed to do their job as best they could. Maintenance was usually taken care of within a week (although we never experienced any urgent issues needing immediate assistance) and the personel sent were always pleasant, respectful and professional.

DEPOSIT - Good
We had no issues with the return of the deposit. We spent a good day and a half cleaning the apartment to ensure it would be deemed 'cleaned to a professional standard' and this was respected and reflected in our return of deposit. We had taken good care of the apartment during our stay and this seemed to have been appreciated. As soon as I provided all the requisite documentation, I was contacted a week later and told that a cheque would be delivered in the morning, which it did.
