Overall a big restaurant with 100 plus dishes to try from (under £8 on a Sunday)
Noisy at weekends after 10pm but hey it's Essex
Great quality of produce
Caters over 400 people
5 star food and hygiene scores on doors
The Tandoori Parlour is not your stereo typical Indian restaurant where you can go eat and patronise the waiters. If your interested in what part of India the staff are born in or how good their English is then I suggest you go elsewhere. If however your looking for a curry and a night out (particularly in the weekends) then this is the place to be at.
They have a buffet with over 100 dishes for your choice. You can eat all 100+ it's amazing. Their drinks are as cheap as any pubs and they have 2 dance floors where you can have a dance afterwards.
You can come in as couples, groups of four or even 300 (yes 300!) if your looking for a quiet night then you can leave before 10pm, if however you expect it to be quiet after 10 on a weekend in Essex then your not really from Essex are you?
I have been eating here for over 20 years and have seen the transformation of the restaurant over the years and can say that the food has always been to a high standard. The quality of the meat they use is better than any other Indian I have tried. The chicken is juicy and the lamb tender.
The service is slick and cannot be faulted with the management greeting you like old friends even if they haven't seen you in over a year.
