I am not a techno person so I will spare you the stats and features. Nuff said that I actually pay for this because it works and makes my life easier. It does what it says and it does a lot.

Maintenance was scheduled for 4th of December 2008. It is now 1.5 hours after it should have been completed - but the service has not been restored. The service has been down for 5 hours or more. This is totally unacceptable in the year 2008 I feel.

The service is generally slow to respond for me.

Spam - Even with the spam filter the level is ever increasing I find.

Technical support can take a day to respond as well in my experience therefore I do not recommend runbox.com.

Runbox Mail Manager was good and has served me well for years but I am looking for a replacement now.

I like what Runbox offers, and wish that there were more competition offering the same thing. I'm not happy with their current levels of support and performance, so would move elsewhere if I could find the same offering elsewhere.

I think Runbox should invest in some snappier servers and more efficient support, then they would be offering a great service.

I have been with Runbox for 4 years now and although they have the odd patch of downtime and there was a period of about 3 months when things were a bit slow, they are still top of the fee based email providers for me. The additional features are useful and quite the deal breaker. The main reason I am still with them is that for the few minor problems they seem to be on par with the other providers (Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo) but with many extra useful features. The best being domain hosting (your own domain on their email system) and the ease of having multiple email addresses, with their own folder, which automatically adds the correct from address to any emails you send. Truly useful for anyone whom is using a separate address for work and pleasure (and avoiding spam). Not perfect, but certainly as good as the competition and with features which should be now be the industry standard. Did I mention that they keep pace with current email requirements (currently 10GB of space) and have friendly and helpful tech support.

One of the best fee-mail email providers I have tried, and its huge selling point is its file storage (web hard disk) and huge email storage and attachment size.

I subscribed to Runbox because I needed a reliable email service to run my business. Initially Runbox's performance was fine, but over the last two months it has deteriorated to the extent that it is almost unusable. I am now having to spend hours every day working around its failings, never quite knowing whether sent messages have actually gone or whether I have received messages that the system won't let me see.
Customer support at Runbox is non-existent - I have not once received a response to my requests for assistance.
Needless to say, this has made running my business very difficult. Any other business users should avoid Runbox and chose a more reliable provider.

Runbox Mail Manager - It was a little over three years ago that I decided I needed to search for a new email service. I was sick of such a small Inbox because I like to access my email from wherever I happen to be.

I was initially attracted to the Runbox email service, then, by the large storage quota (100MB). Upon signing up, I was immediately impressed by the sleek web-based interface and the powerful features offered. I have watched Runbox develop and mature over the past three years; it has evolved to become one of the web's most reliable, efficient and effective email platforms.

The professional web interface is intuitive yet powerful, enabling me to easily utilise the many features offered. One of the most powerful of these features is the ability to dispatch emails with different sending addresses; using the web interface, I can easily send emails from my Runbox account that bear the sending address of my workplace. The Runbox web interface also allows the creation of unlimited folders and filters, streamlining the process of organising and storing large numbers of email messages online.

When at home, I have the choice of accessing my email using the POP or IMAP protocols; this makes storing my email messages on my hard drive simple. It also allows me to work offline using an email client (unfortunately, I don't have broadband access yet!)

Having migrated from a very well-known service, I really appreciate the anti-spam features of my Runbox account. I hardly ever receive spam in my account, which is a very pleasant change from what I was used to. Messages retrieved from my Hotmail account are also spam-filtered and invariably land in my Spam folder.

The recent addition of the 'Files' feature has enabled me to store my most critical documents online, meaning that they are accessible wherever I can access the 'net. I have found this very useful as I am a secondary school teacher and frequently need to transfer worksheets and assignments between my home computer and my school. The 'Files' feature makes this easy and means that I don't have to worry about emailing files to myself.

The Runbox staff provide professional yet personal support and any problems I have reported have been resolved almost immediately. They also have a user forum that is frequented by the Runbox staff and a large number of users. I've frequently been given almost instant help here.

This combination of the professional web-based interface, flawless reliability and unparalleled level of support make Runbox the perfect email service for me.
