“faulty goods and lied to by them”

Bought an ACER Aspire V5 Laptop in July 2014, Delivery was good and on time. By December 2014 the Laptop died without any warnings. Should have known when told to return the item to them for repair that problems would start. After three months of calling and E-Mails finally had it returned. One Month later the Laptop again died. They had the cheek to say return ASAP or there would be no warranty. The Laptop is still with them now. Only problem their site and E-Mails are down and their phone No. is an answering machine. Not sure where I go from here at this time about getting satisfaction from this.

“Shockingly bad customer service.”

I ordered an item after I was persuaded by them over another company. The first warning sign should have been an inability to pay over the conventional methods, but I was told they were a "England-based company" so I put my reservations aside and ordered a Galaxy Note 3. I emailed immediately asking for a tracking number on dispatch. After a couple of days of hearing nothing, I emailed to ask where my tracking number was. They told me they'd send when item was despatched. I was cross by this point so told them to cancel and transfer the money back. I was told after a lot of cross words were exchanged that the money would be in my account by Sunday. It's now Tuesday. They have consistently lied to me and I'm still £270 down so I'm now going to Trading Standards and the police to report them. Their "ENGLISH STOCK" in fact is delivered from China and their customer service reps are shockingly bad. They pick and choose lies to spin and then ignore when the going gets tough. But I won't be ignored. I plan on getting every penny back, even if I have to pull it back like pulling hen's teeth! Do NOT use this company under any circumstances. I'm aiming to have them shut down permanently as they are a disgrace to themselves and their "customers."

The purchased mobile phone became faulty after 5 months. Instead of providing the service center address, they requested to send the item to them. After 3 weeks, I aksed where is my item. Reply was that it will return from service to them "tomorrow". after another week, I asked where my item is. Reply was: we are expecting it soon. after another week of phoning them daily, and after several emails exchange, they provided info that they will send the refund. tomorrow. So, I have purchased replacement handset elsewhere. Another week have passed, and phoning them today I got information that they will need "another opinion" about the phone. I am tired and I am starting the legal case against them. Learn. If you want to waste your monies on presumably stolen goods (otherwise, they would send it to official manufacturer service center for repair, wouldn't they?) which you will never see back as well as your money - buy from them.

“Very late refund, no excuse”

I tried to buy a phone (Sony Xperia Z1 compact) of TipTop Electronics around the 31st of July 2014. They first told me it would be delivered to me within 5 working days (which I needed, as I was moving out to USA for 3 months, starting the 11th of August). After transferring the money to them, calling them straight away and asking for the shipment, they assured me it would arrive to me in time. After not receiving it within 5 working days, I called again, they told me it would be late and would not arrive before the 11th of August. I told them I would want my money back (refund) as quickly as possible and that I was not happy. They said that they understood it and would refund the money. I have emailed them amost weekly, asking for the refund, with very little answers from them (every other email or so or no answer for 3 weeks), finally after 2,5 months (!!!!) I now have my refund. No excuses were emailed, no explanation, no present/gift as part of their customer relations or anything, nothing... I do not know if this is normal for them, I only know that I would not recommend anyone to buy from TipTop electronics from my experience. Just wanted to share this with you all

“Don't buy from them”

I ordered a camera from them and chose to pay them directly from my bank account (big mistake). I waited for the camera to be sent to my address for more than 10 days but nothing has happend,contacted them and they told me we don't have it instock wait for another 5 days, cause we have some coming in. waited another 10 days and contacted them but they told me we don't have any instock can we send you another on but diffrent color and give you GBP10 as compensation, which I agreed,but even that it didn't happen. I have asked them to refund me and they said OK but that takes me more than 2 Monthes to get my mony back. Please do not use this firm, as they do not live up to their promises, you speak to a different person evey time you phone, they do not respond to emails. THEY ARE NOT GOOD AT ALL

i ordered an expensive item from this website they have just taken my money and it is been already soon 1 month and i am still waiting for it, i sent to them a lot of email without any answer so today i will go to see the police, they are not correct at all, i have never seen that before, please be really aware before order on this website. i do not recommend it and i can conclude that i gave them 489£, it is my mistake to have ordered on it i will be really more careful in the future, i write for you next customer. be careful i and even if the price is attracted do not buy it.

“Great service”

I was initially very worried due to paying electronically and not through a credit card. A small error with the pricing combined with a slightly stressed call and also sight of some very unfair reviews made me extremely nervous. All for no reason!!! Everyone at TipTop were very helpful and my Canon C100 arrived within time. That said if they had a credit card facility this would no doubt increase their sales and reduce risk and fear for the buyer. This is the only reason I would be cautious of recomending. Thanks all at TipTop

Without a doubt, the worst company I have ever had to deal with. They never reply to any emails, they don't return calls after they promise to and they lie constantly. After waiting for 3 weeks, having been told that the product was on it's way and would be with me shortly, I cancelled my order. The website said that the phones were in stock, but that was wrong. They lied to me on numerous occasions and had I not called them to chase up, I would still be waiting now. It has taken 2 weeks to get the money back. I was told it would take 48 hours. I have called them 4 times to find out when the money would be transferred and every time I do, they lied and told me it would be back in my account the next day. These people are compulsive liars. DO NOT use them. Clearly their low prices are such because you get ZERO service. The are incompetent and not worthy of anyones time or money. You and your staff have been awful to have to deal with. I can't believe your company is still in operation when you treat your customers like this.

Placed an order in February .... told it would be dispatched soon.. never was.. when contacted for a refund, emails and calls went unanswered. When we finally got to speak to a person - apparently the MD, we were told a mass of lies about there being problems with worldpay etc.. given a convoluted web of more lies on how to obtain a refund. No surprises, this still hasn't been received 5 months later. No response to any emails or calls. The only option, like so many others, now is to take it to a small claims court. Hopefully, if enough people do this, they might actually get the message, and either improve customer service, if they are actually a legitimate company (which is questionable), or be shut down and save other people the same problems..

“Overall, good service”

I had a tight deadline to order a BlackMagic Pocket Cinema Camera. I called 5 different places until I tried these guys, who told me they had one in stock and would deliver it pronto. I was surprised as due to the recent 50% price cut in this product everywhere else was out of stock and on back-order. I was also pleased they would try their best to get it to me on time. I paid the money quickly via BACS and received an order number straight away. The chap on the phone was helpful. The day of delivery (placed order on Monday, to arrive Wednesday) I hadn't received a shipment notification, concerned I gave them a call. I spoke to a different person who said there was a problem with the stock and he would email me within the next 10 minutes with an update as to whether or not they could deliver on time - to be honest, he wasn't very clear on what the problem was. An hour later I had heard nothing and became concerned and decided to check the web for reviews on the company (which is how I ended up here). I saw a lot of extremely negative ones and I became immediately alarmed and rang them back straight away to cancel and refund the order. This time I spoke to the same chap as to who I had placed the order with and he explained that they did have one left in stock, but when he placed the order the warehouse later called him and said it wasn't available anymore. He said intended to call me back that day but cited personal issues meant that he was unable to get back to the phone. He apologised profusely and took my details to refund the money. He also offered me a discount on my next order with them. When I hung up I checked my bank and the money had re-appeared instantly - I was very impressed with the service here, but disappointed not to have the product. Sounds like an innocent mistake - but mistakes like this shouldn't happen. I'm also concerned about the number of negative reviews on this site - for those thinking of purchasing from this company I would approach with caution as this 'innocent mistake' looks less likely given the other reviews. Despite the offer of discount on my next order I don't think I will order from this company again. I was pleased to be refunded the money so quickly and the person I spoke to was apologetic and efficient at processing the refund.

“My Experience with Tip Top”

OK first I am a customer not an employee I purchased a Panasonic TZ60 a week last Wednesday in the evening on Thursday morning I realised the delivery time would mean no camera for my holiday so I called Tip Top and explained. I asked if I could get it expressed and paid £11 direct into their account, by Thursday this week no camera so called again "sitting in customs" OK says I no use to me I leave in the morning for holiday. Where they say. Whitby. OK no problem we'll overnight it there instead of to my home in Warwickshire. Been out today got back to find camera delivered as promised. So I can only speak of my experience but they did as required albeit a little slower than I hoped I only happened to see all the negative comments after I paid (via Amazon) pretty vindictive some of them. Nobody is perfect I work in parts logistics and mistakes happen sensible discussion about problems gets better results than bawling and shouting Thank you

“Accept order and payment then dont supply”

Ordered a camera after a couple of phone calls to the company checking on delivery, warranty etc. All sounded very plausible and told item was in stock and I would 100% get in max 5-7 days......payment was either Bank Transfer or Paypal at 3.5%, luckily I choose the latter (despite the very high rate) and have now logged a dispute. Despite checking several times and told delivery was imminent; at the eleventh hour "suddenly" the item wasn't in stock and I could either wait or get a refund. Strangely they are not responding to my refund request. Obviously they take your order knowing full well they cannot fulfil it then let you down.....DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY full stop.

“STAY AWAY! Dishonest fraudulent - Worst online...”

Bought Ultrabook laptop £1,200+. Had to prepay by direct transfer (first warning sign as no credit card facilities). Product arrived 3 weeks later (after numerous follow up calls) in damaged condition with missing components. No UK keyboard or connection. I contacted TipTop immediately and requested refund - was told there is nothing wrong with product and I should accept it. Eventually Tiptop agreed to refund upon return. I returned product immediately and Tiptop confirmed receipt 3 days later with a promise to refund within 24 hours. They promised 3 times to since to refund within 24 hours, offering excuses why it hadn't happened every time. Numerous calls and emails later, Tiptop directors do not respond. Been 6 weeks and still no refund. Like others had to open a fraud case with Police and are left to revert to courts to seek recovery. Worst online purchase experience ever! UK address is just a smokescreen in my experience.PC products are not UK compliant. I have been told by sales staff that director/manager is sitting in Australia, when asked to speak with him. Be warned. This is not an ethical business!

I would not give any stars to this company, but there is no option for that.. They will take your money, never send you the item, and then tell you a convoluted pack of lies to obtain a refund - which they will never fulfil. If you send them money, you might as well just say goodbye to it.. Hopefully trading standards will shut them down.

I called tiptop electronics to see if I can order a lens from them as I was going on holiday. They told me that they have the lens available and guaranteed me that it will be delivered to my before I got to my holiday. So 2 days before I left for my holiday I was getting very worried, so I call them to see if my item will still arrive on time which they told me that the order has been held back and would not get to me on time. The thing that annoyed me is they did not email me to say that my item has been held back and 2 days before my holiday they left me looking for a camera lens that was suppose to be here as they guaranteed me and told me that it will be here on time. Definitely avoid this company as they have horrible customer service. They make promises but do not keep it!

I have put my case to the small claims court. I bought my projector from them on 14/1/2014 and still not received a replacement or a refund. Every time I call they fob me off with yet another lie this company cannot be trusted and should be forced to cease from trading

Ordered an UP24 on 16 March, money left my bank account on 19 March. The item was shown as in stock on the web site. After many phone calls I still don't have the item as at 29 April. I asked for a refund since the item is now widely available elsewhere at a much cheaper price. I have either been told that the refund is being processed or the item is in their warehouse and on its way. Neither statement is true. My next step is the small claims court.

I bought a projector from this company in January. The item was faulty and had to be returned. tip Top arranged for a courier to collect it in return for a replacement unit to be delivered at a later date. Several months, countless calls, emails (mostly unanswered) later I have still not received my replacement and been told that the company is not in a suitable situation to refund me due to the fact that their funds are not fluid due to their assets being frozen! I have reported the matter to trading standards and intend to take court action this is the worst shopping experience I have ever encountered you hear and read about these nightmare scenarios but never imagine they could happen to you BUYERS BEWARE!

If you want to recieve your item for next day delivery then this is not the place for you. Try Amazon. But these guys saved me 350 quid for the same item on Amazon with a 1 year guarantee! so I can't complain. The product took about 10-13 days to get to me but the team were always polite and willing to explain what was going on. I am happy with the product and will do business with them again.
