Gives estimates of good price your going to get but you really get less than 100 dollars. Avoid this website. Fake and will not be worth it.

1. Avoid at all costs, if you have not shipped already. Save yourself the trouble and just use another site or sell your device yourself. You'll be grateful in the end! 2. There tracking system is the worst as they use Newgistics as their return company and those people are TRASH! Another reason why you should avoid them! Read up on reviews of Newgistics shipping company. 3.READ READ READ their Terms & Conditions on their website. When they receive your device, you'll get an email that says Device Received, but wait until you receive the Device Inspected & Valued email. This is where they will LOWBALL you! However, in their T&C's, you MUST CALL THEM WITHIN FIVE (5) DAYS! Remember this, CALL THEM, not email, CALL them to discuss the offer within FIVE (5) DAYS, actually MAKE IT FOUR (4) DAYS so they don't ignore your calls on the 5th... and this is NOT BUSINESS DAYS! 4. Once you call them, they will hassle you to let them keep the device and increase in price without any justification as to why they could not offer that price initially. This is where you can decide what is your selling threshold, do you take their increased price or not, it's up to you. HOWEVER, if you feel they are not making an effort you can DECLINE their final offer, and they MUST return your device in the same condition as sent according to their T&C's. My Experience: I was quoted $881 for my Macbook Pro 13" Mid-2015 2.7 GHz laptop, which was a decent price. I received an offer of $136! I called them immediately the next day and was transferred to the person I dealt with (the Purchasing Department) quickly and she tried to hassle me into keeping the device saying that is was "gently used" in certain locations. Well duh, this is what you quoted me for, a gently used device for $881. She placed me on hold for 5 minutes then came back and said we can offer you $450 which is a great price compared to other sites. Meanwhile, eBay has listings for $1200 so I know she's feeding me bull and calling it ice cream. I declined and she placed me on hold again, then came back and asked me what is my price? I told her $881, and she claims that is for new devices, sealed in the box, when their site says for used products. I told her $800 is the lowest I'll go and the highest she could do was $560. I asked for my device back and she processed my return. Determine your tolerance for how much you really want to sell your device for, if they don't meet that. Get your device back!

Appraised for $235 for my Dell Insprion Laptop and I get $17 back for it? The laptop turns on and runs great. It only needed a new battery cable charger. This company screws you and false claims your products. Never again will I use this company. CashForLaptops is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with.

Worst setup ever. Never trust them. Everything is setup in such a way to screw every dime out of your product!

I owned an Asus X551 Laptop that crashed hard. It turned on and would attempt to reboot but I was unable to restore it to any kind of working condition. The Cash for Laptops website appraised my laptop at $130 which I fully expected to turn out to be closer to $100 once they got an actual look at it. They gave me $17. I didn't contest or question the amount because I didn't know about it until long after it was deposited into my PayPal account. The email notifying me of the payment was sent under a pseudonym so I never noticed it. When I did call in to ask about the status of my laptop I was told I was paid the $17. When I asked about why the amount was so small I was told it would not power on. This was, of course, a lie and I asked to have my laptop returned to me so I could recycle it through a reputable dealer. Apparently I missed the 5-day deadline though and my laptop got recycled by a third party. The laptop was in nearly-new shape and I had only had it for a little over a year. It was worth much more than the petty sum they threw down at me. This company is not trustworthy. They will lie to you on their website to trick you into sending them your goods then lie to you about why they ripped you off in appraising them. They make money off of abusing the trust of their customers. Do not use them.

Don't trust this company! I definitely should have read the reviews before trusting this company. Total rip off. They give you a much better quote when you give them your device information online, wait until you trust them and send it in, then keep your device whether you agree with their shady second quote or not. And finally, you do not get your device back or the shady second quoted cash payment. You might as well donate to someone in need. Furthermore, they show no remorse for their actions. 

This "business" kept my iPhone, refused to answer my many emails asking them to return it to me or compensate me. I was an absolute fool to trust them. I cannot believe that this is really a legitimate business.

I should have read these reviews before I sent my tablet to Cash for Laptops. I would have learned that their standard mode of operation is to quote a high initial offer, then offer a final quote of 10% or less of the initial offer, even for like new devices. If you refuse the offer within the three days allowed by the agreement and request that your device be returned, they ignore your request and keep your device.

I recently bought an iPhone 6. Both AT&T and Gazelle offered me $70 and $86 respectively. Since my phone was in excellent condition, I decided to go with "Cash for Laptops" online offer of $113. I received an email a week later that they would pay me $13 for my phone. I immediately sent a email that this was unacceptable. Their response was sending me a phone number to speak with a representative. Getting through was next to impossible- if you are on hold for more than 7 minutes, the system hangs up on you. It took me over a week to reach a person who basically said that there was nothing I could do. They mentioned that my iPhone 4s was now worth even less on the market. I did receive my check for $13. If I had used Gazelle or AT&T three weeks ago I would have received at least $70. BEWARE of this company! Unbelievable that they can get away with this!!!!

Also dba Cash for iPhones, this company's business model is a bait and switch operation which will rip you off. They offered $85 for my used iPhone 4. After they had it they said it wasn't in good shape and could only offer $13. The phone was in excellent shape by any standards. I emailed them refusing their offer. The told me I had to call. I spent 50 minutes on hold waiting to get through. When I refused their offer and told them to return the phone to me they said they couldn't do that and finally agreed to pay me $40. Judging from the other published complaints, this is their mode of operation. Don't use them.

I was offererd $200 for phone even with the cracked screen....was told if I was displeased with amount..I should contact them and phone would be returned. HAH! wish I would have read the reviews first.... k

total rip off avoid, they bait and switch, offer high price, send low price, then they try and offer more. told them to FO. in theory they are sending my phones back. I am trying to file a complaint with paypal. they have ZERO good qualities, put you on hold forever, etc, etc.

I went to cashforlaptops.com and got an estimate for my ipad 2. I was quoted at 185 dollars, and only got a check for 28 dollars!!!!! AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!!! WHAT A RIPOFF!!!!!! THIS PLACE CANNOT BE CONTACTED!!!!!!

I had received a quote on a 64GB iPhone at $264. Five WEEKS later I received a check for $20. This was just enough time for them to fully process and distribute of my phone before I could get the phone back and rip up the insulting check. I reached out, waited for days for replies, then wasted hours on hold. All I wanted was the phone back. Why is it so difficult to send a confirmation of what you will be receiving in amount prior to them processing the order? I am severely frustrated. I could have received $100 through my phone company had cashforlaptops.com just been honest. Great being 8 months pregnant, trying to sell some items, and getting hosed. Please, please, please I beg of anyone who reads this: do not sell your items to this company.

Got a quote for $183 for an iPad. After NOT receiving any communication that my payment would be less, I received a check for $13!!! After reading the reviews on this site, it's obvious that this is their usual approach - to give a high quote and then pay very little. In addition, I have tried to contact them on multiple occasions without success. Any email I've sent has been replied with the same boiler plate note telling me to call their customer service number. And, as might be imagined with a company as bad as this, you never get through to a human being. Horrible company!!!! DON'T USE THEM!!!!

offered 203. for my 500. phone got 32. I would rather tossed it then let them so if you allow them to fool you into some sort of quote its a lie

CTHIS IS THE MOST CRAPPY PLACE I EVER SEEN SO FULL OF SHUT. AFTER SENDING THE TWO I PHONES THEY SAID THEY'D SEND 140 DOLLARS. THEN SAID THEY'D SEND US 68 DOLLARS. FOR BOTH. THEY SUCK THEY DON'T DESERVE HALF A STAR. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. YOU WILL BE SCREWED.

I sent my ipad generation 2 to them and they said I would receive $150 dollars for it so I thought that was a good deal even tho I bought it for a lot more and they give me a call and say they only give $50 to 2nd generation iPads. I didn't know they told me different before. And my ipad for in pretty perfect condition. And when I try to get my ipad back so I can sell it for more they say they just started working on it just now.. Are you kidding me?? horrible customer service. Don't waste your time calling them because they are no help what so ever. When they get your ipad they mess with you. I'm telling all my friends that would think about going to you cause at first before I knew what horrible people they are I recommended this site but now I'm telling them to forget it! I got a quote for $235 for my iphone 4s. They sent me a box and label and I mailed my phone 11-5-13 for Los angeles going to Sparks Nevada. I dropped the package a the post office as directed. The problem is they don't actually use the post office for shipping they use a company called Newgistics. My package sat at the Santa Monica post office for almost 3 weeks and then it finally started showing updates. It arrived in Sparks, NV a couple of days later and was in Sparks NV for 6 days before it was actually delivered. When they finally got back to me the offered me $90! Using the fact that the quote was given almost a month ago. (Solely because they use a horrific shipper, which is clearly part of this!) I literally could have walked there and gotten the phone to them quicker! After the bait and switch I told them I wanted my phone back. They sent me a UPS tracking number which showed that UPS had not received the package SIX days later. When it finally showed up it showed it in Illinois! What should have taken 2-3 days to get to Los Angeles has taken 10+ days and I am still waiting for it to be delivered. Save yourself the hassle. I discovered (too late) that Apple has a trade in program. If I had know that sooner I would have gotten at least $200 bucks. Now the longer I wait to get my phone back the value continues to drop in value. I have absolutely nothing positive to say. Just hope I can prevent someone else from experiencing this nightmare!
