Tried to use this company's website to sell an old mobile phone. They were offering the best price for the mobile and all other companies that I have dealt with, working in this field, have been reputable.

Cex said that they would pay £26 for the old mobile phone but would only honour the price for 3 days and subject to their quality checks and grading of the condition(a clause pretty much to the effect that thay can pay whatever price they wish). Over a week lapsed and Cex did not send out pre-paid envelope to return the mobile - perhaps to allow to pay a price of their choice? As such, I posted the mobile at my own cost. There was no acknowledgement or response for over 3 weeks, so I chased up several times only to eventually be told that the mobile had been queued for testing. Eventually, I got an email to say that the mobile was being returned because it did not switch on!! The mobile was in perfect working order when sent and when it was eventually returned to me by Cex it switched on!!

Trading Standards are currently investigating this company - make sure you report all dealings to them.
