After realizing I had been overpaying for my gas and electric for over a year and a half, I had built up a credit of over 1600 pounds (Which is my fault, should have kept on top of my meter readings!) So, no problem you would think, ring them for a refund! So I spoke to an advisor, said I needed to update meter readings and call back. No problem! Updated meter readings, called back, turns out I have to wait 10 days. OK, fine. Waited 10 days, called back. Told they could not process the refund and could not clearly explain why, call back in 10 days.... Hmm ok. Waited another 10 days, called back - Meter readings are now out of date! Update these and call back in another 10 days... This has been going on since November (We are now in February), and all the while each time I speak to them the amount they owe me seems to reduce (we are now at 750GBP somehow, again, without any clear indication why!) This is all while being treated like an idiot by the clowns that work for Scottish power.
Never before I have ever had to deal with such a group of useless people, and I will be changing from them as soon as my refund is finally process (2018 if I am lucky)
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
