Had good service for first six months, and good value for money until to-day but just received letter UNILATERALLY INCREASING MY MONTHLY DIRECT DEBIT BY 128.1%, with no explanation or calculation shown. My unit consumption is stable and my contract (saphire 12) has fixed tariff until 27.04.2017. Phones not answered. Looks like simple robbery to me. Suggest avoid them at all costs.

Changed to GB energy when I read about them in a newspaper. To keep costs down they do not adverise but rely on word of mouth and reputation. My monthly direct debit came way down and has stayed down. Online only and you get an easy to follow website and account. Very pleased.

That was then. And now they have a customer base in come the massive price increases. Two increases withing a couple of months and a huge hike in standing charges have increased my bill by 33%. You have just lost a customer.

In news headlines today, UK Energy Supply has ceased trading. Ofgem are said to be appointing a new supplier and they claim that outstanding credit balances are protected.
