“Really good service and savings. Glad I switched.”

I have been a customer for 18 months now. My bills are always correct now that the smart meter is installed and whilst I was expecting a price hike in year 2, the new price was slightly high but good enough for me not to both to try to switch again. We had also built up a credit balance which they sent back to us just before Christmas without us asking for it and not many of them do that. “Tried 'Hoodwinking' me.”

I had a call from these guys that told me that my contract would be up with British gas in May and if I used 'dual energy' I would be better off. What they didn't tell me that they were calling FROM a company CALLED Dual Energy who were nothing to do with British Gas but never actually said so. “DUAL ENERGY AWFUL COMPANY DO NOT USE”

This company appeared to offer a good deal however the company rip you off. They charged me £1000 in advance before taking over the contract then charged me the incorrect rate for the next 6 months. I queries this and a credit was raised but because I had cancelled 2 direct debits (one for the original £1000 and one because I was being charged almost double the agreed rate and was hugely in credit, they are now trying to put me onto prepay at triple my agreed rate. Posting here in the vague hope someone actually works at dual energy and might actually do something about my complaint!!!!!! I am sick to death of sorting this meter issue out. I have phoned repeatedly and enailed customer services & complaints. No answer from anywhere. 1. This have to be one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. On trying to transfer away from them they have come up with one excuse after another to delay the transfer. Went through a broker, I was told that it's three years contract but can change after one year I tried change after year, I was ask to provide alternative quote and if they can't match the price, will allow us leave I have provided them the quote from British Gas, it took Dual energy almost one month to decide us to leave. trying to talk any sense into staff at dual energy is impossible, their standing charges are extremely high, we had a bill for £400 just for 6 weeks standing charges with no electricity used, the smart meter readings are totally wrong which made the bill almost double the extortionate bill in the first place, after hours on the phone I got nowhere… Read Full Review

I used Dual Energy in my company for the first time. i used a broker which made the process to easy. They installed a free smart meter within 30 days and my bills were very accurate. along with the 1 year review, which makes sense to get the best of the market. Not true, they do 3 year fixed and a 3 year annual review. On the annual review it is based on current market conditions and you can leave if they cant beat your best alternative offer.

“Worst Decision in my life.”

I joined Dual Energy because the rep promised better rates and lowest bill. First direct debit was £800 !! for 1 month only. With the last company i was getting charged £200 per quarter ! Called Dual energy and they said its because it is estimated bill, however after sending the reading for second month, another £800 was debited from the bank. A U switch agent informed me of Dual and over the phone i agreed to a contract with Dual Energy over from N Power, unfortunately Dual Energy took over my energy in Dec 2014. I Normally pay my bills every 3 months and was informed i could still do it this way even on a prepay meter. Removed a meter from our premises to fit a smartmeter but instead took meter away and said they no longer wwanted to supply our energy and left us without power... and we owed nothin!!! I tried to switch supplier as dual energy was to expensive and they kept refusing to let British gas take over the supply so every time I contacted dual energy every member of staff I had spoke to was rude, unhelpful, cocky and bad mannered. Training is strongly recommended as I received no customer care or help in any way, I always came of the phone upset and stressed out. Was given a good rate when they phoned me so I agreed over the phone and entered into a contract with them. After a few weeks I had heard nothing so I rang them and they said they would chase it up. With 3 weeks to go to my npower contract ending I rang them again to be told they do not take on takeaways or pubs so I cant join them as I run a takeaway! I have a small hairdressing business and have recently switched to duel energy. Normally I only pay £35 a month for electricity and am in credit with that duel energy took £404 from me for one months electricity. “The WORST, UNPROFESSIONAL company EVER”

We are a small pub restaurant and an agent put us on to Dual Energy as they had the "best" rates for our needs. We were promised a smart meter which I had to remind them to install! Each month we phoned them to give our readings as their "smart" meter was not sending signals.
