“Lousy customer service and complicated bills”

I have been trying to contact customer services for three hours. - "All of our advisers are busy at the moment please hold" and then "we are currently experiencing a high volume of calls and all our operators are busy at the moment" After 10 minutes the phone cuts off saying "Welcome to the Albermale emergency service."??? Hi, I am really sorry that your experience with Co-operative Energy has been poor over the past couple of weeks. Our rapid growth over the past year has meant that we have had to upgrade our computer system. As so often happens, despite detail planning, we discovered a gremlin when the system went live. This affected the website which has driven an significant increase in calls to our Customer Service team. We believe the bug is fixed now and we are getting on top of the calls but clearly we have failed to deliver an appropriate level of customer service over the period. I'm sorry but the customer service has been terrible since Jan 15! As the OP commented, CS helpline is always on 10 mins que and it gets cut off. If you are lucky, you get diverted to reserve call centre where they can't look up any of the account information so what is the point!? This happened to me EVERYTIME I called CS this year and I have tried to call a number of times each month since nothing seems to get resolved even if you make a complaint. I send an email and I don't get a reply for at least 5 working days and you only receive acknowledgement that nothing gets resolved there either. Then, came your new website which is another problem which I'm sure you know of already. The ethically minded utility was a good idea but I have never experienced so much problems getting through to CS and therefore I have no choice but move on.

this supplier is let down by their administration - they gave me new prices on the 19th of Nov 2014 and promised to confirm these by email which they said would be subject to a delay - some delay since I have still not had the confirmation although to be fair they are charging the revised prices. Their WEB site is not fit for the purpose of supplying meter readings on a regular basis which is what I prefer. “Could be so much better”

Been a customer for two years having moved over from Atlantic following a visit to a comparison site Pros Clear bills, online management of account, transactions completely available (see below) and competitive (although not the cheapest) Cons Customer service woeful. I intended to switch to Co-op energy but wanted to clarify the tariff (it's not on their website). After a long wait on the phone I was put through to an 'overflow advisor'. I've been with coop energy for 12 months with no problems. I then recieved an email advising me to change to a fixed plan available to 25th April. I called customer service waited ages to get through when I eventually got through the guy said they sent email by mistake... After a lot of discussion and obtaining meter readings he swapped me over. This was never done cs said no record of me ever calling and no I couldn't speak to a manager... I would supply them with a monthly meter reading, and would log in the following day to find that their computer had twisted them around. “Customer service ”

I selected this Energy company for my gas and electricity because it had a good score on Which? website. In general, we did not have a problem with solving our queries via the phone whilst we were customers. We recently moved to Spain and cancelled our account with Coop. Whilst we lived in the UK we called Coop and requested to email us the final bills as there are new tenants in the flat and we live in another country.
