Philips Sonicare Toothbrush

“Unenjoyable to use and short battery life”

Written on: 14/05/2013 by celestial (2 reviews written)

It is expensive, even with half-price discounts that abound but is pleasant-looking and features a unique cleaning method. Not sonic at all, it uses a forceful eddy of water which pushes up against the teeth and gums.

The device took a month or so to get used to as it is quite speedy and gives a tickling effect to begin with. I had to keep stopping and starting for many weeks until I got used to it.

Recharging is quite quick and power lasts for about a fortnight. The heads collect debris which dries up around the base and takes time to clean off when you get round to it. This was unsightly and, in my view, unhygienic.

In less than 24 months the built-in rechargeable battery packed up and I threw the entire unit away. I never liked it and have now switched to an Oral B.
